Faculty Convenor
The Centre for Artificial Intelligence Governance and Ethics is, at its heart, a space for curious minds to engage with some of the most consequential legal and ethical questions of our time. As AI systems become embedded in courts, workplaces, and public institutions, students today have a rare opportunity – to shape the frameworks that will govern these technologies, rather than simply inherit them.
Through CAGE, we aim to give students and young researchers hands-on exposure to interdisciplinary work at the intersection of law, technology, and policy – from writing on emerging regulatory debates to engaging directly with ongoing research on AI ethics, data protection, and digital rights. I encourage students to see this Centre not just as a research body, but as a platform to develop their own voice in a field that is still being written.

Avinash leads the Centre’s student initiatives, coordinating research, events, and outreach on cyber law and AI governance. Passionate about the intersection of technology and policy, he drives the Centre’s vision forward.

The Creative Team of CAGE
The Creative Team shapes how the Centre’s work is seen and experienced by the world. From designing the website and crafting visual identities to producing graphics for events and campaigns, they translate complex ideas around cyber law, AI governance, and ethics into content that is accessible, engaging, and visually compelling.
Beyond design, the team manages the Centre’s social media presence and digital outreach, ensuring consistent messaging across platforms. Their work plays a key role in building the Centre’s brand, extending its reach, and connecting with students, researchers, and the wider community.
The Research Team of CAGE
The Research Team drives the Centre’s core academic work, undertaking in-depth study and analysis on emerging issues in cyber law, AI governance, and ethics. From tracking legislative and policy developments to producing research papers, briefs, and case studies, the team ensures the Centre’s work remains rigorous, current, and grounded in scholarship.
Collaborating closely with faculty and student members, the Research Team also supports the Centre’s publications, seminars, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Their efforts form the intellectual backbone of the Centre, shaping informed conversations on the legal and ethical challenges of a rapidly evolving digital world.
The Podcast Team of CAGE
The Podcast Team gives voice to the Centre’s research and conversations, producing episodes that explore pressing questions at the intersection of cyber law, AI governance, and ethics. From conceptualizing themes to inviting guest speakers and conducting interviews, they turn academic discourse into accessible, engaging audio content for a wider audience.
Handling everything from scripting and recording to editing and publishing, the team ensures each episode reflects the Centre’s commitment to thoughtful, well-researched dialogue. Their work extends the Centre’s reach beyond the classroom, sparking discussions on technology, law, and governance among listeners across different platforms.
